Please be aware that every animal is an individual. Not every pet may respond as you might wish, and the protocol should be seen as an aid to help your pet, rather than as a total and permanent cure for every case. The degree of success will be determined by your commitment to the cause. The more time and effort you spend, the more likely you are to reap good results.
Thank you.
The Fear of Fireworks Sounds CD for both Cats and Dogs
This CD has been recorded on the night of a bonfire party, with all the bangs, whizzes, pops and squeaks, some distant, some closer to. The idea is that you play the CD on a regular basis, starting at a very low intensity, increasing the volume over a period of time. You aim to never upset your pet. Over a number of weeks, your pet will become less responsive to these sounds. Play the CD in the evening when the fireworks are going off and it will also mask the sounds outside.
The CD Desensitisation Programme costs £13.00 plus £1.99 p & p.
Sound quality
The quality of sound you present to your pet is very much dependant on the quality of the machine you play it on. The CDs are of a quality that will make you jump yourself when a firework explodes, provided that they are played on a quality stereo.
It obviously pays therefore to use the highest quality 'ghetto-blaster' that you can. The Clipper Sounds CD is recorded in stereo, recreating the effect of the clippers being moved towards and away from the head of the horse. Satellite speakers will help present a proper stereo effect for improved realism.

Feliway spray
Feliway spray used for temporary issues such as taking the cat to the vets. Pump action spray is used to apply pheromone to bedding/cat carrier/hospitalisation cage etc.

D.A.P vaporisers
D.A.P vaporisers release appeasing pheromone into your home on a sustained basis, helping to calm your dog. This can be used to good effect to reduce the anxiety-provoking effects of fireworks. We recommend using the use of a DAP vaporiser from mid-October through to January, in conjunction with our firework sounds CD. A vaporiser comes with one canister of active ingredient, lasting one month. Refills are available.
D.A.P is now available as a spray which can be used outside the home as well as inside - in situations such as travelling in the car, visiting the vet, or at different unpredictable times.
The D.A.P Diffuser costs £25.96, Refill £19.06 and the spray £20.35.
D.A.P is now also available as a collar for either small to medium (up to 37.5cm neck size), or medium to large dogs (up to 62.5cm neck size). A collar last for up to 4 weeks, and is especially useful for dogs that become scarred outside the home environment.
